Man and Woman Arrested for Involvement of Body Found in Canal

Couple Linked to Found Body in Peoria Canal

Talk about the world becoming a violent place. As if murder isn’t bad enough, it seems like it’s becoming more and more popular. More people are joining in on the killing and crime. A man and woman have now been arrested for being linked to a death of man. The man’s body was found in a Peoria Canal. The body was found sometime last week. Seem’s like whatever happened, it was a man and woman couple that had a role in the canal man’s death.

Police Link Couple to Found Body in Canal

According to a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Detective, they have found some evidence that would link the man and woman to the body they found floating. The man, forty-one year old Nathan Perez and the woman, Forty year old Billian Jean are husband and wife. The body of the floating victim turned out to be thirty-five year old Rolland Tockey.

A bicyclist reported finding Mr. Tockey’s body on Wednesday in the Canal. This was August twentieth and was near the 71st Avenue and Greenway Road.  At first the police from the Peoria police department were there to respond to the call, however the investigation was turned over to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation led the investigating officers to a home which was near 67th and Olive Avenues. From there they found even more evidence, proving that the man and woman were most likely guilty in some part of the Canal man’s death.

Nathan Perez is in pretty deep trouble, seems like he’s the main suspect in this case. He is being held on $750,000 bond for “suspicion of first degree murder and concealing a dead body”. His wife, Billie Jean however is no longer in custody, she was released from prison. At first she was arrested as well as booked on charges of ” hindering prosecution”.

Parents Warning Children About “Stranger Danger”

Phoenix Police Advise Parents to Warn Children About “Stranger Danger”

After an incident that involved an eight year old little girl, the Phoenix police are advising parents to talk to their children about “Stranger Danger”.  Of course you would think most parents would strongly warn children about strangers anyway, but it’s nice that the law enforcement is wanting to help and remind the parents of those dangers.

According to the Phoenix Police, the little girl had just gotten off of the school bus near 13th and Campbell avenues around one o’clock in the afternoon last Wednesday. The little girl was walking to her home when a pickup truck had stopped and then the driver opened the pickup truck door.

Stranger Exposes Himself to 8 Year Old Girl

According to the police report from the Phoenix Police department, the driver of the pick up wasn’t wearing any pants and he was exposing himself as well as masturbating in front of the eight year old little girl. The little girl immediately ran home and met her father just as he was arriving home.

The shocked and outraged father got back into his vehicle and then followed the suspect as the man in the pick up truck drove around another neighborhood which was near the 19th Avenue and Indian School Road. The Phoenix Police said that the father watched as the man began to drive slow near yet another young girl that was wearing a school uniform. However, for whatever reason, the man in the pickup suddenly sped away and the father suddenly lost sight of the suspect. Luckily, the quick thinking father was able to get the license plate number of the pickup truck.

The father called the Phoenix Police and gave them the license plate number. The police records showed that the pickup belonged to a Danny Ray Jones. Jones is a sixty-two year old registered sex offender. The Phoenix Police detectives immediately went to Mr. Jones’ home and waited for him to return home again.

Around six thirty that evening a patrol officer noticed Jones’ truck in the area of his home. Jones was driving on the wrong side of the road and the officer was able to pull him over. Police Investigators say that Jones even admitted he was in the area where the little girl was walking and even admitted to being naked and masturbating in front of her.

Jones Gets Arrested for Exposing Himself

Danny Ray Jones was then booked into the local jail for one count of Indecent Exposure. Indecent Exposure in Phoenix is a Class 3 Felony. Phoenix Police are proud of the girl and her father for the way they handled the situation. The police say that this incident is an important reminder that every parent needs to constantly remind their children about “Stranger Danger” and have a plan in place for if something like this should ever happen to them.

17 Year Old Shot For Not Joining Gang

Phoenix Mother Blames Gang for Her Son Being Gunned Down

A Phoenix mother is upset and claimed that her son was “gunned down” for his refusal to join a local gang. Dershawn Stuard was sadly murdered and his cousin was also shot during a baseketball game on last Thursday. The shooting happened at a park near the 106th Avenue and Camelback Road. The police authorities with the Phoenix Police Department identified the shooter suspect as seventeen year old, Jodon Martinez. The police have stated that Jodon Martinez is indeed a documented gang member. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Dershawn’s mother wants everyone to remember her son as a loving, compassionate, funny young father. She recalls a time five years ago, a Phoenix gang had tried to recruit her youngest sons while they were at a park. The young boys were still in elementary school at the time that the gang tried to recruit them. After refusing to join the gang, the boys then became a target for the alleged shooter, Martinez and his family.

Dershawn’s Mother’s Statement:

They chased my kids home with a gun, actually opened fire once.

Apparently the family had tried to escape the gang and the threats by moving around the city four time within the five years. She even moved the kids to a different school in hopes to escape the gang violence. To this day, she still lives in fear. Even though she has filed several police reports, she’s still terrified since her son’s murderer is still on the run. She hopes that she isn’t identified.

Mother’s Statement About Her Fear of the Gang:

We tried to do it right, we tried and tried and tried. And no help, no help. Now that’s the result, I have to bury my son and my grandson has to grow up without a father.

She claims that she will not feel any peace until her son’s shooter is caught and then prosecuted for what he did.

Continued Statement:

He may not be able to walk around freely, but he’s awake, he’s alive, he’s still breathing. I don’t have that anymore, he stole that from my son for no reason.

Police describe Martinez as “Hispanic male who is about 5 ft 7 in. tall and weighs 140 pounds”. If anyone has any information on this suspect, please call (602)262-6141 or the Silent Witness program at (480) WITNESS.

Man Arrested For Abusing Woman,Dogs and Murder

Man Arrested for Murder of Former Arizona State University Football Player

A man is now facing charges for the murder of a former Arizona State University Football player and Scottsdale bouncer. This was after he was caught after he hit his girlfriend and both of her dogs.

Ian Alexander Macdonald was arrested by the Mesa Police after an altercation, the victims in the altercation said that Ian was trying to kill them. This was according to the Court documents.

According to the court paperwork, Ian’s girlfriend had told the police that they returned home with a male friend Ian allegedly “went crazy”. The male friend had just came home from the Skyline Park on Saturday, July 5th.

At the park, earlier that evening, a park ranger had gave all three of the victims a citation for consuming alcohol.

Things Go Downhill After Ian Gets Home

The male victim that was inside of the home said that Ian was so upset about the citation when they arrived to the house (around 2:40) that he immediately got into an altercation with his girlfriend. That is when Ian then hit her and her two dogs.

The female victim in the case said that her boyfriend had threw one of the dogs against the wall and then started to kick the other one. She tried to go to pick up the poor dogs and that is when he then hit her. The hit caused her a bloody nose. According to the female, Ian then walked around the home and picked up a handgun.

The male victim had secretly dialed 911 and then placed his cell phone into his pocket before he saw Ian pick up the gun.

Luckily the male victim used his head while things were about to go crazy. The male told the police that he knew that Ian had a bad temper and also had a weapon in the home. So while the couple was arguing, the male victim sneaked around and was about to remove the magazine clip from the handgun.

When the police officials arrived, the suspect had told the police that a Hispanic male that was wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt had pounded on the front door while holding a gun in his hand and that the man then fled on foot.

Police questioned both of the victims separately. They told the officials that once Ian had grabbed the handgun he stared at both of the victims for about thirty seconds before he placed the gun onto the floor. The female victim was then able to hide the gun in her bedroom.

Ian’s Sentencing

Ian Macdonald is now facing six charges which include assault, false reporting to law enforcement, and failing to comply court orders.

Ian had been on a felony release for second degree murder charge of Tyrice Thompson. He posted bond, however he was prohibited from possessing weapons or consuming alcohol.
