Police Searching for Four Suspects in Fatal Stabbing

Phoenix Police Looking for Fatal Stabbing Suspects

On June 27th Phoenix Police have started a search for four suspects who were involved in a stabbing that sadly killed a man inside of his apartment.

Tommy Thompson, who is a spokesman for the police department said that nineteen year old Johnathan Hollinquist was stabbed to death inside of his home. The residence was located near Black Canyon Boulevard and Carefree Highway.

According to Mr. Thompson, Johnathan was asleep on the couch when three or four men unwelcome entered his home. He says that then one of the unwelcome men had gotten into an argument with Johnathan over a previous “conflict”.

During the conflict, the man allegedly stabbed Johnathan. Johnathan was then taken to a local hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

The police officials have identified one of the stabbing suspects as nineteen year old Geraldo Silberia Jr. also known as “Bemo”.

According to the report, all four of the suspects fled the scene. The investigators described the suspects as “Hispanic” but sadly had no other information on the suspects at this time.

Phoenix Father Arrested for Baby’s Drowning

Phoenix Father Leaves Baby In Bath By Itself

A Phoenix father has recently been arrested on homicide-related allegations for his three month old baby drowned in a bathtub. According to the court records, the father is being held on $180,000 bond.

Phoenix Police and the Fire Crews responded to the home that is located near the 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street on late Tuesday morning. They received a call that a child was not responding after the child was found in the bathtub.

The Young Father was Arrested

The young child’s father was arrested by the investigators by late afternoon. The nineteen year old father, Carlos Humberto Castillo, for the suspicion of second-degree murder as well as child abuse. The investigators made sure to emphasize the father’s “extreme indifference to human life” in the charging documents that was released on Wednesday morning.

The young father told the police that he had left the three month old baby and the other two children that were in the home (ages 1, and 3) in the bathtub with the water running so he could take a nap.

The three month old infant was found floating in the bath tub and had his eyes closed. When Castillo had found the baby he grabbed the baby and tried to get assistance from his girlfriend.

The baby’s grandmother tried to save the baby’s life by administrating CPR until the emergency workers arrived.

The baby was quickly taken to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The father, claimed that he was only asleep for “two minutes” however the records show that his cousin had woke him up because the bathtub had overflowed and had began to flow underneath of the bedroom door.

When the police arrived to the scene, they said that the water was literally flowing out of the front door.

Luckily the other two children were not injured as well. The father is facing charges of child abuse because he left the children in a “dangerous situation”.

Phoenix Officers Work a Barricade Situation to Detain Two People

Police Officers Detain Two Suspects After Barricade Situation

According to the Phoenix Police, on June 15, 2014 the Phoenix Police Officers were able to detain two individuals after they created a barricade situation. This was at a local town home complex which is near the 12th Street and Dunlap in the Phoenix area.

According to Sgt. Steve Martos, the police had received a call that was in regards to shots being fired around five in the morning. When the Police Investigators arrived to the scene they were shocked to find that a man was armed and had reportedly barricaded himself in a home after he aimed his weapon at the police officers.

ABC 15 News Pete Suratos was at the Barricade Scene

According to Pete, the SWAT team had arrived on the scene and was ready for anything at around seven:thirty in the morning. The Situations had remained active for about another hour after the SWAT got to the scene.

Sgt. Martos said that the officers had detained the two individuals after the barricade incident.

No other details are known at this point of time.

Sexual Assault Complaint Filed with Boy Scouts of America

Sexual Assault Complaint 30 Years in the Making

Almost thirty years ago a complaint was filed with Boy Scouts of America however it took a comprehensive review from the National Scout leaders in October 2013. They needed to rediscover the allegations against William Challberg, luckily for the complaint the sixty-five year old Phoenix man was arrested less than a year later for suspicion of molesting boys which was decades later.

The Phoenix investigators think that there might be more victims that have not came forward yet.

Challberg was arrest for more than two dozen of sex crime allegations. Some of these allegations took place in his Phoenix home and according to the police this was over a twenty year period.

According tot the court documents, Challberg abused his trusted position as a scout leader. The documents also give detail the “drug and alcohol fueled encounters” that Challberg had with his victims.

Fifty-one year old, Julian Mendoza was Challberg’s roommate. Mendoza has also been arrested on more than a dozen allegations that also involved crimes against children.

According to the Police records, Challberg was thirty-five years old when he began to commit the alleged offenses. Many of the crimes occurred at his home which is located near the 32nd Street and Campbell Avenue. Mendoza was twenty years old when he started.

According to the Court Records about the Sexual Assault Complaint

Phoenix police were contacted in October 2013 by the new risk-assessment supervisor of the Boy Scouts of America, who reported an incident of sexual abuse involving Challberg and one victim.

The police statement showed that the victim and his father had filed a written complaint with the Boy Scouts of America in 1986. However, the family did not file a separate complaint with the Police.

The victim is now forty-five years old. He told the police investigators that he had met Challberg at the Boy Scouts conference in New Jersey this was in 1983.

Challberg has Many Sexual Victims

The brave victim told the police that Challberg had molested him when he was only fourteen years old while they were at a Boy Scouts activity in Phoenix. The same day Challberg then took the victim to his home and showed the boy some pornographic movies and then engaged in sexual activity in front of the young male.

Challberg was a bus driver for Veolia Transportation at the time that the victim claimed that Challberg had engaged in sexual conduct with him inside of the bus in Phoenix.

According to the court records, Challberg also asked the young boy to bring other boys to his house. The victim did what he was asked and brought a friend to Challberg’s home, he later learned that, that friend died of AIDS as an adult. Challberg also sent the victim a letter asking him to get checked for AIDS.

The last time that Challberg sexually abused the boy was when he was sixteen years old. This time Challberg forcefully engaged in sexual activity with the boy. After the police interview the victim, they were able to identify several other victims.

Another man came forth and told the police that he was only around 13-14 years old when he was at Challberg’s home. They were drinking beer and smoking marijuana when Challberg then molested him.

According to the court documents, the boy and Challberg had allegedly engaged in sexual conduct on multiple occasions. The second victim also said that Challberg had recorded him engaging in the sexual activity, then allowed him to watch the recording.

A third boy also came forth and told the police that Challberg would offer him beer or beer money in exchange for sexual conduct, according to the boy he would always decline. He also told the police that Challberg would invite him and the second boy to watch the pornographic material and then asked to videotape them.

There was also a fourth boy to come forth, he lived in the same neighborhood as Challberg. He said that Challberg would give him and his younger brother pornographic material. He also showed the fourth boy a home video of him engaging in the sexual conduct with a young male.

Challberg’s In Jail

Challberg is being held in prison without bond due to the nature of the charges.

Cleaning Company Arrested for ID Theft

Nine Employees of Cleaning Company Arrested for ID Theft

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, nine employees of a state-contracted cleaning company have been arrested for ID theft. The manager of the company was also arrested.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office say that they were tipped off about the alleged forgeries by an Arizona Department of Transportation employee. According to the employee, a worker with the Upright Commercial Cleaning company had tried to completely change his name on his ADOT building access card.

The Detectives then conducted their investigation at several of the Arizona Department of Transportation buildings, this was in the state Capitol complex in Phoenix. The detectives arrested nine people they suspected were involved with the forgery.

The Manager of the Cleaning Company admitted to knowing that the employees were actually using the fake identification documents. The manager is now facing a class 2 felony charge for trafficking in identity theft.

The MCSO said that the other nine suspects were in the U.S. illegally, however the manager is a U.S. citizen.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office got a Search Warrant

On Friday the MCSO detectives served the search warrant at the cleaning company’s office which was located on Thomas Road. During the search they found further documentation that proved the potential ID theft and forgery.

The investigating detectives also found that the company had 12 employees of the cleaning company that were possibly using the false ID’s to get jobs.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office say that the owners of the Upright Commercial Cleaning Company were very cooperative during the investigation and probably had no idea that the manager was doing this criminal activity.

All of the ten suspects were arrested and put into jail on Thursday night. According to the MCSO’s there have been over 782 suspects since 2008 that have been arrested for forgery and ID theft.

Law Enforcement Makes Huge Drug Trafficking Bust

1,500 Pounds of Marijuana from Trafficking Group

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office made a huge breakthrough, a group of Valley and Federal Law-Enforcement agencies worked together to confiscate weapons, cash and at least 1,500 pounds of marijuana from a drug trafficking group. The group had been operating across the Phoenix area.

The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement was able to confiscate 1,710 pounds of marijuana. According to the Sheriff’s Office this was from six locations that was operating in the Metro Phoenix area. They were using the city as a distribution hub.

The Sheriff investigators believe that the locations are suspected to be under the direction of a foreign supplier. They first got a search warrant for every location, some of which included homes that were being used as drug “stash houses”. The officials made an arrest of seven different people that were believed to be involved in the drug enterprise.

According to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, The Drug Enforcement were able to confiscate at least fifteen weapons and more than $60,000 in cash money. They also confiscated several vehicles from the locations.

Law Enforcement Worked Together to Bust the Drug Trafficking Operation

The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement strike force is made up of officials from the U.S. immigration and Custom’s Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
